Di Nigunim(Dee Nih-goo-nihm) literally translates from Yiddish as "The Wordless Melodies". It is also the name of a band based out of San Diego, California. This roughly ten- piece musical group combines traditional eastern european klezmer and folk flavors with the sounds of punk and rock to produce a rough and rumbling flavor that will get your juices flowing. If you like their music, you wouldn't be the first; they have an ever- growing fanbase and with the recent conclusion of their west coast tour, their name is starting to spread. They have played with such other bands as Gogol Bordello (some of their musicians actually sat in at a performance in Portland), The Underscore Orchestra, and Dr. Moss.
